final piece: springtime feather bracelet

April 3, 2011 § 2 Comments

I originally posted some of the starting ideas and sketches for this piece in the Bead Table Wednesday group pool over in Flickr. It’s a bit of a departure from my personal style (I don’t usually use subtle colours or mixed media) but I’m pleased with it. Ingredients: cloisonne feather, aquamarine nugget, transparent Swarovski crystal, Greek ceramic bead, natural hemp cord, and silver plate findings and connectors.

This may well be the first piece I sell online…decisions, decisions. Also, on a side note, I’ve bitten my nails (horrible habit) for years and never been able to shake it. But a few weeks ago I stopped, and haven’t started again since – and now I can take nice photos of me demonstrating jewellery without feeling as though my nails are completely disgusting. Hooray!

PS You can see more photos in my Flickr account here.
